Posted: 07 Oct 2011, 11:39 Saab sticks to the hope that Youngman will send the 640 million SEK meant as a bridge loan in the current reconstruction. That money has been delayed several weeks is due to some “snags in the process” according to Eric Geers, press manager at Saab.
As DN told last thursday, Volvo’s owner Geely has showed an increased interest in Saab. Geely has according to DN’s sources approached Saab’s administrator Guy Lofalk. DN has tried to reach Guy Lofalk for a comment.
Eric Geers, pressmanager at Saab, confirms that Geely is one of the many companies who have showed interest in Saab.
- “There are many who are interested in the company. Right now we have a binding agreement with Youngman and Pang Da and right now this is the one that is valid”.
At Saab expectations are that the chinese car-manufacturer Youngman will pay the advance of 640 million SEK. The promise was given in conjunction that Saab was to be given a second chance in a reconstruction.
Other people with very good insight in the troubled Trollhättan-company are placing themselves a lot more doubtful to Youngman. Sources to DN claims that the delay is an indication that Youngman are trying to get out of the deal.
