GM s-a opus inca odata preluarii de catre chinezi a SAABului iar Mueller, ramas fara solutii, a inaintat declaratia de faliment:

The Dutch owner of Swedish car maker Saab said on Monday that the rejection of a rescue plan for the ailing firm by former owner and key supplier General Motors had forced it to apply for bankruptcy.

The decision sets the scene for the end of Saab's struggle to survive after months of hastily drawn up deals for a car maker which has not made a vehicle for months. The latest plan involved Chinese car maker Youngman, but this was vetoed by General Motors at the weekend.

"After having received the recent position of GM on the contemplated transaction with Saab Automobile, Youngman informed Saab Automobile that the funding to continue and complete the reorganization of Saab Automobile could not be concluded," Saab owner Swedish Automobile (Swan) said in a statement.

Zeewolde, The Netherlands, 19 December 2011 — Swedish Automobile N.V. (Swan) announces that Saab Automobile AB (Saab Automobile), Saab Automobile Tools AB and Saab Powertrain AB filed for bankruptcy with the District Court in Vänersborg, Sweden this morning.
After having received the recent position of GM on the contemplated transaction with Saab Automobile, Youngman informed Saab Automobile that the funding to continue and complete the reorganization of Saab Automobile could not be concluded. The Board of Saab Automobile subsequently decided that the company without further funding will be insolvent and that filing bankruptcy is in the best interests of its creditors. It is expected that the Court will approve of the filing and appoint receivers for Saab Automobile very shortly.
Swan does not expect to realize any value from its shares in Saab Automobile and will write off its interest in Saab Automobile completely.

imi doresc ca in viitorul foarte apropiat GM sa fie istorie in catrtea automobilistica :evil:

Sunt convins ca asta nu este sfarsitul. Vezi vedea ca, poate cel mai probabil dupa terminarea procedurii de faliment, o sa reinvie.

Whats going to happen now?

The district court of Vänersborg is right now working with the bankruptcy application, when approved a press conference will be held at Saab where TimR, RikardH and Rune are right now waiting.
SaabsUnited has been promised an interview with Victor Muller after the dust has settled where we will find out more details. Please e-mail your questions to him here.
A bankruptcy administrator will be appointed and that person will look over what assets are still left in the company and determine their value.
A voluntary bankruptcy will ensure payment of wages to the employees from the governmental fund much faster than a forced bankruptcy. This is the main reason why Saab chose this action this morning. The management needs to focus on their primary resource and that is the employees.
Mats Emthen will be the bankruptcy administrator according to dagens industri.
What actually happened last night was that Youngman was willing to invest money into Saab but GM forcefully stated that if any chinese investments were made into Saab, GM would cancel all current license agreements regarding the current 9-3, 9-5 and 9-4x. This of course scared Youngman into not investing in Saab. Anyone would understand it not wise to invest in a car company that is unable to build any cars. The new 9-3 we have learned is about 55% GM parts and technology, a conversion away from GM technology is possible according to our sources but it would take a considerable amount of time to achieve this.



Chestia nasoala e ca si platforma noua Phoenix e detinuta in proportie de 55% de GM :?

sper din tot sufletul ca nu este sfarsitul SAAB. Nu merita o asemenea soarta.... :?

O scurta descriere a istoriei Saab in ultimii 20 de ani, de cand a inceput era GM, pentru cine nu stie:

Basically, as I understand it, profits Saab made went back to GM pot, with little in return, as regards research and development, as well as autonomy. Scania saved Saab, so did GM, but the difference is that GM subsequently raped, starved and pillaged, and left it for dead, and the final straw, GM-now owned technology created by Saab, prevented from going with the cars to potential new owners GM and the US, you should be ashamed, and be damned. Saab will live on, with the support of its huge, and friendly community. Thoughts with the undoubtedly over-talented workforce in Trollhatten.

Sa nu disperam. In cadrul procedurii de lichidare va aparea cineva interesat sa cumpere marca SAAB. Poate chiar chinezii care au bagat pana acum cateva zeci de milioane. E o procedura destul de complicata, dar,pe scurt, se rezuma la valorificarea activelor in vederea stingerii pasivului, adica a platii creditorilor, a salariilor, etc. Poate e jocul chinezilor de la Pang Da, astfel incat sa achizitioneze totusi SAAB fara sa mai macane burtosii din Detroit.
Colegul Lucian ar putea fi nitzel mai exact decat mine, avand in vedere si calitatile multiple pe care le poseda :wink:

Nici eu nu cred ca lucrurile se vor sfarsi aici. O marca de prestigiu e f greu de creat acum iar brandul conteaza in primul rand in industria asta.
In alta ordine de idei cred ca situatia asta se datoreaza in principal politicii de publicitate complet aiurea de la Saab. Faptul ca sunt atitea persoane care habar nu au de marca asta mi se pare dezastruos... ceea ce a si fost.
M-am asteptat dupa preluarea Saab de catre Muller ca lucrurile sa se schimbe. De fapt nu am vazut nici o schimbare dupa preluarea de catre Muller decit un facelift la 9-3 si o compactare a optiunilor de echipare (lucru care pb ca e ok dpdv fianciar).
Oricum daca asta e sfarsitul imi pare tare rau pentru oamenii aia de la Saab care au fost dedicati si nu in ultimul rand pentru dealeri (mai ales cei exclusivi) care nu au un viitor prea luminos.

Din ce se aude pe aici, in Italia, printre membrii fanclubului Saab si nu numai, fabrica de autoturisme are toate sansele sa continue sa produca, dar sub o alta marca, noua. Acum nu stiu cat e realitate si cat e speranta din partea lor, GM este destul de urat si pe aici dupa afacerea Fiat, statul italian canalizand o gramada de fonduri pentru sustinerea marcii autohtone, tocmai in ideea evitarii unui alt caz tip Saab, americanii fiind adevarati "terminatori" de industrii auto.

GM-ul sunt niste terminati, au distrus o gramada de marci de prestigiu, macar acum trebuiau s-o lase balta cu furtul tehnologiei GM.....care este preluat/furat de la altii.
Saab nu merita sa dispara, eu cred ca o sa fie cineva sa-i salveze!

Daca ar fi cumparati in cadrul procedurii de lichidare cred totusi ca GM va avea in continuare dreptul sa refuze impartirea licentelor cu noul proprietar, asa ca problema nu este rezolvata. Nu cred ca ar cumpara nimeni SAAB fara sa poata practic produce imediat dupa achizitie. Gresesc? :evil:

Imi dau si eu cu parerea despre situatia de la fabrica SAAB. Eu sunt chiar bucuros de faptul ca se intra in procedurile de intrare in faliment, de ce, pentru simplul fapt, ca mai devreme sau mai tarziu, trebuie sa platesti datoriile catre terti, pe de alta parte, politica GM de a cumpara actiuni la n firme din domeniu a fost sortita esecului din start, dar nici sa pui piedici la infinit nu merge, deci eu cred ca nu e rau ceea ce se intampla, se vor vinde vorba lui tony, active, ca sa stinga din datoriile mari acumulate, nu se poate ca vreo 4000 de angajati nordici, devotati si probabil ultra calificati sa ramana pe drumuri, ma refer la lucratorii Saab, deci cred ca in 2012 chinezii vor devenii noii proprietari, mai ales ca au si tehnologii-licente Saab cumparate, iar ceea ce au facut cu volvo sau indienii Tata cu jaguar se va reedita, deci totul e spre bine 8)

Din alt punct de vedere mi se pare jenant cum statul suedez nu se baga in salvarea firmei asteia.daca Suedia ar avea 15 marci auto de prestigiu si s-ar duce una atunci sr fi de inteles.Dar are doar 2.Prostiile alea ca statul nu investeste in poluare e o idiotenie de puritani rupti de realitate.Cum au putut francezii cu Renault sau Italienii cu Fiat sa se implice?
